I hope that you have heard that the San Antonio Children's Museum is having a wonderful new facility being built at 2800 Broadway just South of W. Mulberry Ave. Thankful to donors who have contributed 90% of the $46 million that is transforming the museum and excitingly opening up a world of play to children and adults in our city. The new museum, which will open in June 2015, will emphasize interactive science, technology, art and literary activities.
To showcase its new home and reflect its new direction the SACM will be announcing a new name. And they want to celebrate with you! Saturday January 25th, from 11-2pm.
Swing by Lion’s Field Park and enjoy live music, food from local restaurants and food trucks, activities for children and prizes for all. Keith Hill BBQ, The Lemonade Co. and Blu Café and Bakery will provide food for attendees. This event is free and open to the public.
The event will feature live music from acts such as Elora & Gasoline Alley. There will be a variety of activities for kids to enjoy including record-breaking connect-the-dots, designing and decorating giant sheet forts, science and art in play activities and many more.
And as the grand finale, the new name and logo for the San Antonio Children’s will be revealed.
I can't wait to find out what it is and I hope you can join in on the fun too!
Enjoy!
