Moong Dal Khichdi for Babies

Moong Dal Khichdi

Moong Dal khichdi is a healthy and versatile baby food which goes well with vegetables, curd etc. It is a protein rich energy food.

Ingredients:

  • Moong dal – 1 tbsp
  • Rice -2 tbsp
  • Turmeric-1 pinch
  • Jeera powder-1 pinch
  • Hing-1 pinch
  • Ghee – ½ tbsp.
  • Garlic -1 clove crushed

How to make Moong Dal khichdi?

Method:

1. Wash rice and moong dal thoroughly under running water and soak for 1 hour.

2. In a pressure cooker, add ghee, rice, dal, crushed garlic, turmeric, jeera powder and hing.

3. Add water and mix well.

4. Allow it to cook for 2 whistles in medium flame (depends upon your cooker)

5. Once cooled, open and mash well with potato masher and serve the baby.
