Dal is something every single Indian household has in their regular diet. We have all kinds of lentils and pulses in our country, and most of these are used in different ways across the length and the breadth of the country. With its easy availability and affordability, dals are among the best protein sources for adults and children alike.

However, sometimes, we run out out of ideas and tend to relegate  dal to a boring everyday staple. This is where the problem is, and the reason why most Indians are lacking in protein. Especially when it comes to children, dal is a super food, providing growing babies and children all the nutrients they need to stay healthy.

That’s why we’ve got a special recipe today that uses not one, but two kinds of dals in a recipe that’s not a plain dal curry. Today’s recipe is a Moong Dal and Urad Dal Cheela, a healthy dosa recipe for the entire family. This recipe is perfect for breakfast or even for dinner, and is also a great idea for people trying to lose weight.
