Moon Watchers

By Bookishkind @bookishkind

Moon Watchers  An internal aching for the spirit of the woods,
Is growing within the starv-ed soul. To watch bejeweled fairy dances at twilight, To gaze at trees in the moonlight and dance with them, Tall in the shadows and free in the open night air. An ache to touch the stars who Offer their dull low light to night watchers,
A hidden nightlight for the un-sleeping, Who stand nearby like wallflowers,
Watching the moon cross the open sky. Moon Watchers A dull ache for summer noise,
To break up the stillness of the night air and, Take the chill away from moon watchers.
Nothing quenches the hollow ache,
But un-sleeping open woods.
