I'm very grateful for the relationship I have with my mom these days. Since becoming a mom myself, the differences between us seem to disolve more and more. Looking through our family photo albums (which she and my step-dad brought with them on their Christmas visit), the similarities are only augmented: we look the same; we kiss our children the same; we even dress the same. I feel so proud when I show a picture to my kids of their grandma in her 20s-30s and they immediately shout "Dat's mommy!" I love you mom.
