Moderat is Running with What Feels Good in New Track, ‘Running’ [Video]

We didn’t think it was possible for anything to exist smack in between The Killers and Swedish House Mafia, but Moderat’s psychedelic new track, “Running,” released earlier this month, seems to have achieved the impossible. Featuring a hypnotic beat that slowly but surely draws in your attention and runs with it, the song takes you on the same path the man in the song’s apocalyptic video is sprinting along.

The persistent, quick-paced beat makes this track feel so distinctly dance-influenced, though many of the band’s tracks are slower and resemble a more muted indie electronica of the XX than the blood-pumping adrenaline that pervades “Running.” Either way, this slightly altered sound adds a unique rush that jazzes up both the video and their most recent album release, III.
