On Saturday, I was honored to host M.M. LaFleur's Boston trunk show at the Intercontinental Hotel. The event was a great success and I can't say "Thank you!" enough to everyone who took the time to come shop and sip with us!
If you're not familiar, M.M. LaFleur is a recently launched womenswear line for the professional but stylish woman. Sarah and Miyako, who once worked for Zac Posen and Jason Wu, teamed up to create a sophisticated line of luxury dresses, made in New York. These always office appropriate pieces are easy to care for (most are machine washable and can be folded into suitcases for travel) and made with high quality fabrics sourced from top mills in Japan and Italy.
My favorite dress from M.M. LaFleur is the Lydia 3.0 which I happily wore all afternoon. I've never thought of myself as being able to wear a shift dress but thanks the label's unique fitting style (they drape and fit their designs on real women of various sizes to see how the cut falls on each rather than on traditional models) it was incredibly flattering to my curves and it fit like a glove. As soon as I slipped into it I felt like an adult. I even started carrying myself a little bit taller. Is there anything better than a comfortable dress that makes you feel ridiculously confident?
One of my favorite features of the Lydia is the twisted shoulder because it wonderfully features a hidden button to keep your bra strap in place! Genius!
Thank you again to the entire M.M. LaFleur team for a wonderful afternoon!
