Mitsubishi CRJ-900ER, Petroleum Air Service

@ Luxor, Egypt

May 2024

Departing from Luxor on our way to Cairo provided this view of this CRJ-900 out on the dusty tarmac. Besides their core mission of regional transportation services for the oil industry, PAS also provides a wide range of charters covering Egypt and all regional destinations supporting various tour operators. The CRJ900 is a stretched 76–90 seat version of the CRJ700 with a wider wing, leading edge slats, and redesigned tail. The most numerous of the CRJ family, 487 of these regional jets were produced before production was ended by Mitsubishi after acquiring the program from Bombardier in 2020. Petroleum Air Service operates three CRJ-900s in their fleet.
