Fortunately for us, the powerhouse French record label/design house, Maison Kitsuné, is releasing another mix, the third in their American road trip series. There are some guaranteed gems on the tracklist, like the incredible second single “Eli Eli” by the D.C. band, Misun. The song plays well into the American theme with its Western-esque/60s pop/vintage, washed out construction. While the sound is indeed a throwback, the electronic percussion is 100% from the 21st century. The contrasting eras and incredible production go along with the huge chorus of, “Come on and give me just one more happy moment” to make even the most coldhearted cynic want to throw their hands up and hit the open road — just like Kitsuné intended.
