Product description

This moisturizer contains an optimum blend of all these humectants – Sodium Polyglutamate (holds 4 times more water than hyaluronic acid), Vitamin B5, Xylitylglucoside, Glycerine and Amino acids to hydrate skin from within. S

qualane and Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride as emollients for long term moisturization, soft & supple skin, without making skin oily.

It also contains Shea Butter which is an excellent occlusive and locks the moisture inside our skin.

The product is infused with 3% Sepicalm, which combines amino acids (building blocks of proteins) with minerals (Magnesium & Potassium) to soothe the irritation, calm the redness, and relieve the stinging sensation.

It’s tested to  reduce redness after UV stress by about 25% and  -90% reduction of stinging intensity of Lactic Acid within 1 minute. Performance of Sepicalm is further boosted by adding Oat in 2 forms; Oat Extract and Colloidal Oat to further calm the skin.

What is my review on Minimalist Sepicalm 3% + Oat Moisturizer?

The moisturizer may look heavy in the picture and when you first look at it. But the moment you apply it you will know how it feels. The moisturizer is creamy and absorns into the skin quickly.

Minimalist moisturizer gives me a hydrated, soft, non-sticky face in 30 seconds. A small amount is enough for providing hydration to my entire face. I would rather say the quantity depends on the individual’s skin type.

This is suitable for all skin types and there are only a few moisturizers that would work perfectly well for all skin types.

This moisturizer didn’t make my skin oily nor did it make my face look greasy. I am totally in love with it and have been using it non-stop day and night right from day one.

minimalist specilam oats moisturizer review

I have been traveling a lot and I have experienced both oily skin and stretchy slight dry skin. And this moisturizer worked amazingly well in both conditions. I am blown away by how it hydrated the face and didn’t feel sticky or heavy on both oil and dry skin.

It works really well under makeup too. The ingredient specilam combines Amino Acids with Minerals to soothe irritations and calms redness caused by UVA / UVB and comforts skin.

This moisturizer along with a salicylic acid serum and alpha arbutin serum from Minimalist has given me a natural glow and healthy skin.

It did not break me out. Instead, I felt that when following a routine with these 3 products has decreased my breakouts and prevents inflammation, painful acne.

This moisturizer is a perfect blend of hydrators, emollients and occlusives for all-day moisturization. Suitable for Normal, Acne-Prone & Sensitive Skin.

How to Use

  • Use after cleansing, toning and applying all serums. Take sufficient quantity of product and massage into face and neck. Layer with sunscreen in AM.
  • Use it in the morning (AM) and evening (PM).
  • While it’s a light moisturizer with no known side effects, we still recommend patch test before using the product.
