Minced Meat Samosa: Ramadhan Recipe + Kitchen Cleaning Tips!

...the blessed month of fasting, salvation, divinity and yes, Iftaar! Food has eventually become an integral part of this beautiful month, as the entire world celebrates every evening of Ramadhan with delicious food. Not just Muslims, but every other individual love to relish their Ramadhan evenings with lip-smacking food and sweet delicacies. But with food comes hygiene and I make sure to keep my kitchen smell fresh and clean with one of my go-to products for kitchen hygiene- LAL HIT!

At our place, we start with the preparation of Iftaar since afternoon. We make sure to prepare at least 3-4 delicacies for every Iftaar. Our kitchen becomes the busiest corner of the house during this month and thus maintaining its cleanliness and hygiene becomes more important.

Every other day, we make the Kheema Samosas for Iftaar. But though it's easy to make, the entire kitchen becomes a mess. We have fruits to cut and serve as well. And since Ramadhan is in monsoon these days, it becomes more susceptible to unhealthy hygiene and a host to cockroaches. These unhealthy brats hide in corners, crevices and sink, and are difficult to be detected. At night, they encroach the entire kitchen with their family, as if it's their home. They carry germs and bacteria, and crawl on food and utensils, contaminating food and spread Food Poisoning.

But that's just an imagination for me. An imagination of those houses where no proper precautions to clean their kitchen is used. I'm a staunch believer of cleanliness and try to keep my entire house clean. I have the LAL HIT for my cockroach rescue. It comes with a Deep Reach Nozzle which can penetrate into deep corners, crevices and the sink area, thus giving me deep cleaning of the kitchen from any unwanted filthy guests. It comes with a fresh fragrance, which brims my kitchen with a pleasant aroma, thus I feel fresher after the cleaning regime.

The LAL HIT is not my tool for kitchen hygiene only during the month of Ramadhan but a part of my monthly kitchen cleaning regime because kitchen is the most important part of the house and denotes the hygiene of the inmates. A pest free kitchen would make sure that every individual be safe and healthy.

I would encourage everyone to use LAL HIT for their Kitchen Cleaning Regime and #SayNoToFoodPoisoning, because a healthy habit can lead to a healthy home.

Minced Meat Samosa: Ramadhan Recipe + Kitchen Cleaning Tips!

I would like to share the recipe for Iftaar- Kheema Samosa (Minced Meat Samosa).

Ingredients
  • Minced Meat - 250 gms
  • Peas - 100 gms
  • Ginger-Garlic paste - 2 tbsps
  • Green Chili - 2, chopped
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander-Cumin Powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves - As per liking, chopped
  • Salt to taste - As per liking
Preparation
  1. After cleaning the minced meat of any impurities, heat it in a vessel on low flame, in its own water, not adding any additional water, with the ginger garlic paste.
  2. In another vessel, steam the peas with some oil while putting a lid. Heat it for some time on a low flame
  3. Then, once both are mildly cooked, off the flame. Cool them.
  4. In the Minced Meat mixture, add the peas, chopped green chili, coriander leaves, coriander-cumin powder, salt to taste.
  5. We use the ready-made samosa covers. So add the prepared filling in the samosa covers and wrap them properly.
  6. Once done, put oil in a vessel for deep frying and let it heat for a while.
  7. Deep fry the prepared samosas.
  8. Serve them hot with green chutney or sauce!
