Miley Cyrus showed off her new hairdo yet again this past weekend at the MTV Video Music Awards. I’ve never been a Miley basher, so this comes from the best of all possible places. She obviously doesn’t have a stylist, or the stylist was on drugs that day. Miley has ruined her hair and ultimately her beauty all in an effort to be “edgy”. Everyone can look edgy and gorgeous at the same time. And there is no need to shave your head or get stressed and pull out all of your hair, just on the sides though.

Being edgy and beautiful is pretty easy to do. Mix feminine pieces with a few edgier items and you are good to go. Otherwise, you look like you are trying too hard and that just looks like–well, like you’re trying too hard.
Lucy Hale of Pretty Little Liars does it just right. Shiny, sleek and beautiful hair with a floral top and edgy leather skirt by Free People. That’s all it takes. Simple. Don’t go all overboard and wear all of your edgy accessories and pieces all at once.
