Miike Snow and Lykke Li Team up [stream]

Pop (borderline indie?) trio Miike Snow have teamed up with fellow Swede Lykke Li to bring us “Black Tin Box,” another taste of what’s to come from their forthcoming LP Happy To You, due out March 26th. No stranger to collaboration, Ms. Li has added her talents to plenty of other projects, including Bon Iver and Peter Bjorn and John, but her presence here is so wonderfully blended into the Miike Snow sound, you almost forget she’s there. “Black Tin Box” begins with a minimalistic approach but quickly evolves into a more layered landscape that utilizes whining, theramin-like effects, bloopy synths, and distorted vocals to create an eerie, haunting track.
