Let me go straight to the point, we stayed in Microtel Cabanatuan because I thought it is the best hotel in the Cabanatuan City and we only deserved a good accommodation. The hotel has been our home over the weekend in my latest Central Luzon travel adventure after the Aurora Province. That day, after our trip to Minalunao National Park,Nueva Ecija, we traveled to Cabanatuan which is around 20 – 30 minutes only from Gapan. When we reached the circumferential road of the city, a shuttle van of Microtel fetched us up for the hotel is located in a quaint community. Extending this kind of service to the guests made me feel that we’re VIP.
It was 2:00PM when we arrived at the hotel, pretty timing for any hotel implementing check – in time. The Resident Manager, Ms. Lita politely greeted us with an ear to ear smile and offered a welcome drink upon entering the appealing huge reception area. It was such a good observation for the first time guests like us to be welcomed by the manager. Overall, our check - in is quick and efficient.
Our room is basically the same with the room we had in Microtel Inn & Suites in Baguio which is a very good point to me for I really like the room’s interior – a rustic design that balance brilliant idea to mix an influence of nature and an eco – friendly home. A calming blend of warm mid toned wood with hues of soft blue and cool clay which really produces a tranquil place to be. The room is justly perfect.
And the most vital thing is the two queen size bed featuring chiropractor – approved mattresses, the bed is covered with 3 layers thick blankets and has 3 cottony pillows each. Of course the room is air - conditioned, has cable – ready TV, Internet access, an IDD/NDD phone and other important features.
The bathroom is spacious and clean. The shower comes with hot and cold water. Guests are also provided with basic toiletries and clean towels.
After a satisfying rest we roamed around the hotel to check the other facilities and amenities. Microtel Cabanatuan has also a function room that can accommodate up to 20 people for business gatherings or for any purpose needed by the guests. The hotel has a partnered restaurant which is the Liquid Bar and Restaurant that offers a wide variety of cuisine from Filipino to Western which is open as early as 6:00AM up to 12:00AM.

What surprised me is that they have a swimming pool which a good outlet for relaxation and fun for family and friends.

Just like your home you can also stay at their huge lobby that showcases an impressive native – design sala set. Stay long as you want as they have TV and a reliable Wi – Fi internet too.
On the following day, we enjoyed the morning with our continental breakfast, the restaurant owner, Chef Philip Tiongson also treated us with their famous Nueva Ecija’s longganisa. We ate outside the restaurant with the fresh air and perfect view of the greenery rice fields, such a new experience to me.
Upholding the quality of service promoted by the Wyndham Hotel Group, staying in Microtel Cabanatuan is truly a perfect choice among hotel in the city. No doubt, there's no other hotel to stay in Cabanatuan that can provide this package - not that cheap but affordable room rates, facilities & amenities are excellent and friendly and accommodating staff.

1. During November – February, the hotel is most likely endowed by the Koreans for it is winter in their country during the season. They opt to go to Philippines and play golf in Cabanatuan.
