January 14th, 2020 is going to be the day when Microsoft will officially stop sending Windows 7 automatic updates. This means that the security of the system will be on stake.
Today I received an announcement from Microsoft.
"After ten years, support for Windows 7 is coming to an end. The two best things you can do to prepare for the transition are, back up your files, and then get ready for what's next. We have tools to help you with both."
What does the end of Windows 7 support mean?
The end of Windows 7 support does not mean that your computer will crash. It means that you will not get updates from Microsoft after 14 January 2020.
Your computer or laptop will still run, but Microsoft will not support you on the following stages;
- No technical Support
- No Software Updates
- No Security updates
What should you do?
Microsoft has stated that It is the time for you to plan for the installation of Windows 10 on your system, or if your system configuration is not according to windows 10, then you should upgrade it.

According to Microsoft, Windows 10 computer runs up to 28% faster as compared to laptops or computer with the older version.
How to get Windows 10 for Windows 7 PC?
First, make sure that your machine configuration can support windows 10.
Now you can purchase the full version of Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home.
In most cases, you need to purchase a new laptop or upgrade your old computer.
Can you upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10 for free?
Professional, free upgrade ended on 29th July 2016.
Now you have to purchase the Windows 10 and download it on your system. In case your machine is older than three years than you have to upgrade it because Windows 10 may slow down your old computer.
