Microsoft 'understands the need' for bigger Xbox One hard drives
Xbox chief Phil Spencer has said that he understands "the need for bigger" hard drives on Xbox One, but has reminded fans that they're able to use an external USB hard drive if they find themselves running low on storage space.
"We shipped the AW 1TB console, I understand the need for bigger Hds," Spencer tweeted in response to a fan. "You can use a USB HD, that's what I do."
Xbox One typically ships with a 500GB internal hard drive, with last week's Limited Edition Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare console increasing the storage space to 1TB.
Microsoft has not announced plans to ship any other Xbox One console with a 1TB hard drive.
