Ingredients:
6oz margarine
6oz Caster Sugar
6oz Self Raising Flour
1oz Cocoa Powder
3 Eggs
2 Tbsp Milk
1/2 Tsp Vanilla
1 Tsp Baking Powder
Using the all in one method, add all the ingredients into a mixing bowl
Mix on medium to high-speed for about 1-2mins
Split evenly between to cake tins, and bake for 25-30 mins at 170c.
Allow to cool and spread some chocolate butter cream
Butter Cream Recipe:
125g Butter
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Tbsp Milk
25g Cocoa Powder
Icing Sugar
Mix and slowly add icing sugar until a spreadable thick consistency.
Spread a big thick layer ( the thicker for the middle the better) then add a tiny amount of milk to make the icing slightly softer to spread around the cake.
Dirty ice the cake – which means cover the cake in butter cream.
With a little help from my son, color fondant icing with red gel food colour
Cover the cake with fondant icing.
Using Mickey cake cutters and letter cutters and decorate the cake with coloured fondant icing.Quick easy cake that took only 2-3 hours from start to finish.
