Michigan State: Assistant Professorship in Philosophy of Science

The Department of Philosophy at Michigan State University invites applications for a tenure-system, academic year appointment at the rank of assistant professor, beginning August 16, 2016. AOS: Philosophy of Science. AOC: Open. PhD in Philosophy or closely allied field (e.g., History and Philosophy of Science) prior to appointment.

Four courses per year at undergraduate and graduate level, thesis supervision, usual non-teaching duties. The successful candidate will have a robust research program showing potential to secure external funding. We are particularly interested in candidates committed to teaching a diverse student body.
