New Metro Redux and Metro Last Night Redux will feature several improvements including remastered next-gen visuals, smooth 60FPS gameplay and more remade game content. 4A Games claims this to be “completely overhauled” versions of original games.

Gameplay has been drastically improved for next-gen consoles with the latest version of company’s 4A Engine, advanced enemy AI, improved combat and stealth mechanics. Lighting, weather, character detailing has also been updated to run at 1080p resolution and 60FPS. In addition, the “Survival” and “Ranger Mode” has also been upgraded with several features to make the game tougher than ever. Check out the announcement trailer to see how much the game has changed.
Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Night Redux will head out this summer for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The developer promises to release dedicated Linux and SteamOS versions later this year.
