Mesita Releases New Track and Announces Album Release Date [stream]

We’re always quick to jump on whatever new music Mesita gives us, and his latest single is no different. With the release of “Together” he also announced his next album, The Phoenix. Out on December 30th, it will feature all the singles he’s dropped and that we’ve adored throughout the year. “Together” starts off light with twinkling lines, but there’s this dark industrial punch every thirty seconds to a minute that gives it both weight and signature Mesita depth.

Be sure to check out Mesita’s prolific string of releases since 2008, each one gorgeous and different from the one before. While his earlier work takes on a lighter tone, last year’s ingenious Future Proof and his latest singles feature heavier basslines while retaining his careful precision and attention to timing and melody. In my opinion, Mesita is easily one of the most slept musicians on the scene, although it doesn’t seem to dampen his creative energy at all. With thousands of plays on SoundCloud, it looks like he’s finally starting to get some of the attention he deserves.
