BASE
I kept the base makeup really simple. I used some Bobbi Brown Brightening Primer before going in with some It Cosmetics CC+ Matte using a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I've found blending this with a brush is too difficult (it sets quickly) so a sponge is ideal. I left concealer until after the eyes were done.
EYES
For this, I used the NYX Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette in 'Brights' and I really focused on the aquatic shades (blue, pink, purple, turquoise). I blended in the light purple and light blue all over the lid and worked the deeper shades into the crease.
I added a winged liner using the Bourjois Liner Pinceau liquid eyeliner. I then added some khol liner to my upper & lower lash line to fill any spaces, before adding some mascara (Too Faced Better Than Sex) and eyelashes. For lashes I used the Kiss Look So Natural Lash Iconic.
DETAILING
I used the same Bourjois liquid liner to trace the outline of a mermaids tail. I then used a fluffy brush to blend in a few different shades from the NYX Brights palette, and blended it in towards the outline. I then drew in a few half circles in the tail to look aquatic.
I also blended some of the purple shade down each side of my nose to add shading and then glammed up the look by using press on face jewels from Barry M between the brows and under the lower lash line to look like mermaid tears.
LIPS
I used a purple liner (Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner in 'I Got The Juice') to line the lips and also blended in the outer corners before adding Mac Halsey lipstick (I think this is discontinued but it's a gray lipstick with a purple undertone).
Et voila!
I hope you like the look! I've had so much fun doing Halloween looks recently!
Let me know what you'd like to see next!
