Here's another quick, easy-to-make & freeze meal to add to your freezer stash!

Taco Bake Casserole (TO MAKE ONE CASSEROLE)
1 lb ground turkey or beef
1 box hard taco shells
1/2 jar large taco sauce (we like mild)
1 cup cheddar cheese (add more if you like a lot of cheese)
Brown meat and add prepackaged taco seasoning mix OR make your own. (Homemade Taco Seasoning consists mainly of Chili Powder....
Start with 3 Tablespoons Chili Powder and to it add garlic and onion powder to taste with a little sprinkle of oregano and cumin. Mix this in a separate bowl to make sure you like it first. Adjust seasonings to your taste buds)
Mix seasoned meat with taco sauce. Crumble taco shells and place at the bottom of a 9x13 casserole pan. Sprinkle meat mixture over the taco shells and top with cheese.
Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.
Garnish with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, olives....whatever your heart desires.
For those casseroles you wish to freeze - just cover with foil, label and stick in the freezer. On serving day, thaw and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.
I made three casseroles for a total of $11.86 or $3.95/EACH CASSEROLE.
