Here's another quick and easy mega meal that is kid friendly and perfect for lunches!
You will need:
A loaf of french bread Pizza or Spaghetti sauce Mozzarella Cheese Additional toppings as desired.
First, cut french bread down the middle lengthwise. Then cut into sections. Top with sauce, cheese and whatever else your heart desires.
Freeze separately on wax paper lined baking trays until pizzas are firm. Then transfer to freezer bags.
On cooking day, thaw and cook at 350 until bottom of pizzas are toasted and cheese is bubbly. (note: if you choose to cook at a higher heat, the bread won't turn out as nice)
This is a great way to get the kids to help out in the kitchen. It's also very economical especially if you get the french bread off the 'day old rack'.
For two loaves, sauce and cheese, our cost was $3.00 total! This will last us at least 3 lunches.
