It’s official, 55-year-old Peter Capaldi will be replacing the current Doctor Who star Matt Smith as the 12th incarnation of the Time Lord in the upcoming Doctor Who series. According to BBC, Capaldi is at “the same age as William Hartnell when he was cast in the role as the first Doctor in 1963″.  I saw him first in the “The Fires of Pompeii” episode in Doctor Who series 4 but I never even knew who he was or that he will get to be the Time Lord someday. After checking out some of his videos on YouTube, I’m certain that he’ll do a great job as the new Doctor.

“Being asked to play the Doctor is an amazing privilege. Like the Doctor himself I find myself in a state of utter terror and delight. I can’t wait to get started,”  Peter Capaldi said on a live BBC One show

And what do I have to say about Misha Collins, who used this opportunity to boost his appearance online by misleading Doctor Who fans around the world? Well, first of all, I’m so glad that he never made it and now I know he’s definitely the biggest Internet troll I’ve ever seen. But, I think maybe Peter Capaldi’s wife, Elaine Collins is somehow related to him.

Check out the video to see some of Peter Capaldi’s best moments in the popular UK series “The Thick of It”. Try and count the number of times he mentions the F word.
