Y’alls cousin Meek Mill was found guilty for violating his parole yesterday. The rapper took the stand in his ongoing case for violating his probation. He pleaded to the judge that he has changed his ways. Yeah y’all read it right, the outspoken rapper said he has changed his ways. he’s been delivert, he don’t internet thug no more. Let me stop because this might be a serious matter.
Not only did the rapper try to plea that he has changed his ways, he also referenced girlfriend Nicki Minaj.“I’m not a gangsta. I’m not a criminal,” he said. “I have my queen, Nicki now. I’m trying to do better and feel like I can be the best rapper alive.” In addition he discussed how difficult it was to visit his mother in New Jersey after a surgery due to the fact that all of his travel outside of the state of Pennsylvania had to be approved. He also apologized to the D.A. for calling her a “bitch” in the song “The Ride.”
But the judge really didn’t care what Mr. Mill had to say.She found him in “technical violation” of his probation, setting a Feb. 5 date for his sentencing and ruling that he cannot leave a five-county area around Philadelphia or perform at any event in or outside Philly.
Unfortunately, this is life. Meek violated his probation and he has to suffer the consequence. I wish this young man the best and hopefully he will learn from this and grow.
