Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood wil release their new album Juice on September. The avant-jazz NYC trio and guitarist John Scofield have been collaborating in the past, most notably on a 2006 tour that was documented on MSMW Live: In Case the World Changes Its Mind album.
Sharing a love for African-derived music Juice will focus on music from Brazil, the Caribbean, and Latin America. One of the tracks, Sham Time, can be streamed thru Paste.
The quartet has announced a mini-tour, playing three shows each in the USA and Canada.
