Mechanical River, brainchild of South Carolina native Joel Hamilton, is a brand new take on the lo-fi folk sound popularized by bands like Neutral Milk Hotel. Hamilton’s sound isn’t the only unique element to his approach; his music is driven by a customized microphone housed inside of a repurposed baseball helmet.
We jumped at the opportunity to work with this exciting new band at Electric Lady Studios in New York City. Take a look and a listen, and keep an eye out for their debut record coming soon!
