Atanu Ghosh's latest film Mayurakshi won a National Film Award in the Best Film category. Mayurakshi is Atanu's sixth feature-length film. Mayurakshi has earlier received four Filmfare Awards including Best Film (Critics Choice), Best Actor (Critics Choice) - (Soumitra Chatterjee), Best Actor (Popular Choice)- (Prosenjit Chatterjee), Best Background Score (Debojyoti Mishra).

Synopsis:
The octogenarian Sushobhan's life is not an easy one. He manages his daily life with the help of a caregiver, and dementia riddles his memories. This ensures that Sushobhan is in either of two moods, anger or irritation. His son Aryanil's life has not been much different, with multiple failed marriages tainting his reputation. The film tells the tale about how the chemistry between father and son change, when the latter comes down from his home in Chicago. The situation makes both parties look at their respective situations in different ways.
