I am a huge fan of Maybelline Baby Lips lip balms, I have tried almost all the varieties available till date. Recently they have launched their “Spiced Up” range, keeping in mind the complexion of Indian girls and I am so happy for this. I have pigmented lips and the newly launched darker shades are great for my lips!

My take on the products: When Maybelline told me that they are sending over the lips balms for me to try, I was jumping with joy. Finally when I received them, I found out they have sent me not one but two of them to try out, Tropical Punch and Spicy Cinnamon.

The packaging is same as that of previous version but these came in darker colors resembling the shades of the balms. I reached out for Spicy Cinnamon first, because I have never used a cinnamon flavored lip balm before. I loved the flavor, it felt exactly like cinnamon. The shade is dark, almost brownish like that of cinnamon. The shade will suit Indian skin tones very well.

The shade Tropical Punch is a pretty pink shade Both the shades did hide my pigmentation and gave a subtle hint of colors to my lips. Tropical Punch has a fruity flavor which is common in many lip balms. The lip balm stays for almost 4 hours without meals and keeps my lips moisturized and soft.

It also has SPF 20 for sun protection. Overall I am very happy that Maybelline came out with darker shades of baby lips and finally, we girls, who have pigmented lips can also wear tinted lip balms that really shows up o  our lips!! Enjoy the pics and please ignore the dusty keyboard…
