Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Mascara & HyperSharp Wing Liquid Liner

Maybelline has been my go to brand for a lot of different products and I am constantly using their mascaras and eyeliners because of their fabulous quality and great price point (I stock up during 50% off sales all the time!). Today I’ll be reviewing two of their latest product releases, the Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Mascara & HyperSharp Wing Eyeliner.

The Lash Sensational Mascara features a curved plastic brush that features 6 types of bristles to help you achieve a ‘multiplied, defined and voluminous full fan effect’. One of the stand outs of this mascara is the gently curved brush as I find it a perfect fit for my eyes, allowing me to coat the majority of my lashes in one swipe whilst also reaching those hard to reach, inner corner lashes.

The first coat will see a separated but natural finish but the formula is easily buildable for a more dramatic look, providing length and volume, all while separating and fanning out your lashes. Application on the lower lashes is also really easy with this brush and because of it’s half moon shape, I can coat the lashes without accidentally smudging anything on my lower lash line. The formula is non clumping as well.

With a deep black formula, this mascara lasts very well on the eye with no smudging or flaking and I find that its only after a very long day and night out that I find the formula smudges slightly on my lower lash line (though I do experience this with the majority of mascaras I use).

Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Mascara & HyperSharp Wing Eyeliner - Review

The HyperSharp Wing Liquid Liner* has to be one of my favorite eyeliners of late! Featuring a brush tip, the flat design allows you to achieve a wing as thin as 0.01mm to a thick 2.0mm. The brush tip is flexible yet firm which makes it perfect for those who are seasoned liquid liner professionals to those who are a little nervous using a liquid liner because you’re able to have a great level of control with this liner.

While the formula isn’t as jet black as my beloved MNY Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner, the liner is still very pigmented and easy to apply as it glides over the lash line with no tugging. The precise tip helps you achieve a perfect winged liner look or even just a thin line to define your lashes. As promised, this eyeliner really is long lasting – on my oily eyelids and after a full day out, this liner doesn’t smudge, flake or budge at all, staying put until you want to remove it. It’s definitely one to try!
