Today I’m going to review the Maybelline New York dream Satin Skin Foundation in shade Nude B5. I was earlier using Maybelline Fit me poreless Foundation in shade: 128 Warm Nude.
It was a good foundation and catered well to the needs of my skin. Somehow I had to find a product which was even super perfect for my skin and gave me a flawless satiny base. Well, my search finally ended when I laid my hands on this classic bottle. The glow and perfection it gives to your face are beyond explainable in words. I was feeling as if I am wearing one of those high-end luxury brands foundations, to be completely frank and honest if you wear this foundation properly in the right weather and layer it properly with the right products, I don’t think you would have much to complain. With that being said let's get deep into the details of my review.

The liquid mousse formula has been air-whipped for a completely poreless finish to give your skin as smooth as satin. This formula never allows the skin to clog and makes it breathable at all times.

HOW TO USE/APPLY
Apply foundation onto skin and blend with fingertips or an applicator and blend.

Packaging:
The packaging of Maybelline New York dream Satin Skin liquid foundation comes in a transparent glass bottle with a pump dispenser and a cap to protect the top of the bottle. The bottle of the foundation has a label which states the name and the shade specification properly. Since the packaging is glass, one has to be really careful in handling the bottle. Since its fragile in nature storing or placing it anywhere needs to be properly decided. If you have kids or a pet you better place it somewhere safe rather than making the foundation bottle sit on your dressing table.
How Does The Texture feel:
The texture of this rich thick Maybelline New York dream Satin Skin liquid foundation is liquid mousse. It blends like a dream. It doesn’t even dry out too fast, it gives slow people like me who take their own sweet time to finish application slowly and flawlessly.
It's as smooth as second skin. You won’t be feeling the heaviness of the foundation on your face. It doesn’t even clog the pores, makes my face a smooth canvas. Which can be painted smoothly without any unevenness. It hides the fine lines too.
My skin feels breathable and light and airy. The pores completely disappears. A foundation that’s keeping my skin satiny soft and smooth, and nonetheless feels hydrated and moisturized. It instantly gave a gorgeous natural and luminous finish.
Also, the Maybelline New York dream Satin Skin liquid foundation is fragrance-free. This is just a big relief for people with sensitive and irritated skin.
How much Coverage does it give?
Nude B5 is a warm yellow toned shade. This foundation gives a healthy and natural coverage to your face. Gives a coverage that is full yet light on the skin and its buildable from light to medium. If you have problematic skin with acne marks or spots and blemishes, then you really need a good concealer or corrector to hide the imperfections from the face. For me, the coverage was good enough to hide some of my skin breakouts and medium under eyes dark circles and fatigued eyes. It helps in hiding all the pores and redness.

How is the Staying Power in the Face/ Performance:
The Maybelline New York Dream Satin Skin liquid foundation has a good staying power for about five to six hours. It's also a perfect foundation for winters because it really helped me when I had to spontaneously rush with my family to a fun-filled evening at the beach. I remember I had to get ready instantly, there wasn’t much time to do my makeup or apply sunscreen and I applied this foundation in a haste and headed out to the beach. It thankfully didn’t melt, crease or get cakey on my face. I was looking absolutely flawless, I was flaunting my airbrushed skin with full confidence. It made me look amazing in pictures which were taken in natural sunlight.
However, in summers I had to properly follow the basic steps before applying this foundation. Like I had to properly moisturize my face and apply an appropriate primer, dab my skin perfectly with my beauty blender. Apply some concealer and finally set everything with compact or loose powder.
My skin type is oily but not too aggressively oily. However extremely oily face beauties can skip this in summers because the oil controlling power is very poor. And if you are wearing it despite having highly oily skin, then keep compact powders or blotting papers handy.
I also wore this foundation to a nighttime wedding function which was conducted in an air-conditioned hall, and as my face was perfectly primed and moisturized, the foundation stayed intact without causing any difficulties.

Cons Maybelline New York dream Satin Skin liquid foundation
People with extreme oily skin can skip this, it suits Normal to combination and dry skin beauties. Medium oily or slightly oily skin people can go for this.
Staying power in summers is a major issue and concern since properly priming underneath and touching it up with a compact powder becomes absolutely necessary.
It may feel heavy if worn in summers by highly oily skin people.
The shade range for Indian women is very limited in this foundation.
Foundation comes in a glass bottle, in that case, store it safely in case you have butter fingers.
Conclusion
My final suggestion would be to go for Maybelline New York dream Satin Skin liquid foundation because of the smooth satiny soft sheen that it gives to the face. Anybody would like the texture and the air whipped feeling it provides to the face instantly. So if you are looking for a foundation for everyday wear which gives light to medium buildable coverage, then surely don’t hesitate to buy it. Also keeping in mind the SPF factor which it contains makes it easily favorable for day wear, but still don’t forget your sunscreen application underneath.
It’s a lovely foundation to boost up your glow and provide you a different feeling from those dull old matte foundations.
