Maybelline New York have recently come out with a whole host of amazing new products and one of them is the Maybelline New York ColorBlur By Lipstudio Cream Matte Pencils + Smudger which allow you to create a wide array of lip looks thanks to the formula and rubber smudger!
With one of the creamiest feels on the market for a matte lip colour, it not only feels lightweight on the lips but is also incredibly comfortable to wear thanks to the velvet finish that doesn’t accentuate dry patches or settle into creases.
Once set, I found that the colours didn’t bleed or wear off easily, instead leaving behind a long lasting stain with re-application only needed after 4-5 hours. I personally didn’t find them drying, even after a second application but if you do suffer from dry lips, I would suggest applying a balm to hydrate your lips prior to application.
Application is easy with the crayon as it’s sized perfectly to allow you to line and color the lips in a matter of seconds. The fragrance free formula is also great to see!
There are currently 8 shades in the collection (10 in the US), ranging from everyday shades to bright and bold shades.

I love the concept and the ability the pencils give you to create a unique lip look but the ombre lip isn’t something I can pull off! However, if you love bold colour, a matte finish and longevity, these pencils are a must try!
