I just LOVE kajals and use them always before going out.So I have tried both the famous kajals by Maybelline as well as by Lakme.In this post I'll be comparing their packaging,texture,staying power and pricing.
Packaging: Both the packagings are almost similer except their color.Lakme one comes in black and Maybelline in yellow packaging.No need to sharpen them and waste time,as they as the twist-up ones.Texture: Both the kajals are smooth in texture and glides on very easily.They are both very dark but I feel the Lakme one is a bit darker.Pricing: Maybelline:150 for 0.35g.Lakme 199 for 0.35g.
Claims: The lakme one states that it is waterproof,smudge proof,and stays for 10 hours.The Maybelline one promises smudge proof and waterproof,but it states that it stays intact for 6hours.Maybelline one clain that It has got 5 caring ingredients with vitamin E in it.Lakme one claims nothing as such.How far true to their claims: The maybelline one irritates my eyes when I apply it on my waterline.However,it suits all the people I know.I think my eyes are sensitive to one of the ingredients they often use in their kajals.Even their gel liner irritates if I use it on my waterline.Lakme kajals always suits me and never irritates my eyes.The kajals stays on for about 4-5 hours on my oily lids after which they starts fading.The lakme one starts smudging really soon but the maybelline one starts fading but not smudging after about 3/4hours.The lids are very thin and I prefer thick lines,so I need to rub them on my eye lids for three/four times,because of which they lasts me about only half a month to one month.Please do not forget to share your experience with them.
