Maxthon has released a new browser called the MxNitro. It still is in beta and is the most minimalistic browser ever but it claims to be the ‘Fastest PC Browser in the World‘. Maxthon has been creating browsers which have the most minimal possible features one would need to start using a browser, their regular Maxthon Cloud Browser is fast, advanced and has almost all the feature one would need. They claim to be ahead of the curve and Cloud Browser provides you all the cloud features you would need from your browser. If you use Maxthon Cloud on all your laptops and devices, you will have the benefit of using their Cloud Sync, cloud download, Cloud push and Cloud share which keeps all your browser updated all the time with all the information you would need to continue your browser use in a continuous stream.

But that is their regular product which has been in works and has a stable version from the past few years.  Maxthon now has announced and released a new browser called MxNitro which as mentioned before works lightning fast on PC.

Highlights of the MxNitro Browser by Maxthon

  • Installs and starts 3x faster than any other Windows PC Browser
  • Loads web pages 30% faster than any other Windows PC Browser
  • Clutter-free, intuitive look and feel

If you try it you will agree to most of it. Yes, it installs literally in 2 clicks and starts even before you click on the icon is completed. It indeed is super-fast browser. Webpage loading times are debatable as it a very variable experience. Since everybody has fast internet and webpages are quicker to load in general there is no easy way to know if a site loads much faster on one browser to another. More than the internet speed there are other variables to take in account. But we can agree is totally is clutter-free that is because they have stripped down everything from a browser, even the basic browser shortcuts and functions you use every day. It doesn’t have a way to access the options, settings and history. There are no advanced keyboard shortcuts which literally every other PC browser has, but the basic keyboard shortcuts work as expected so there is that. All this accounts to a very fast loading and really snappy browser by Maxthon. Besides that it has a very and really very low CPU & memory footprint. Unlike other browsers this is the least resource hogging browser you would use.

“Our focus groups and longitudinal surveys detail a growing segment of users who want speed above all else. 80% of users say that speed is their #1 decision-making criteria and that they are willing to forego extensive features and add-ons to get more of it,” said Jeff Chen, CEO of Maxthon. “This product is dedicated solely to that important and growing consumer niche.”

So it might not be for everyone but as Maxthon says it surely is for a niche market which doesn’t care about anything other than browser speed from their browser. All this is achieved by drastically reducing its UI/UX load, adding new, patent-pending pre-connection and pre-fetching technology and by stripping out features that hog resources or cause delays in start-up times and page rendering.

If you are an advanced browser user with plug-ins/addons/extensions to live for, this isn’t a browser for you. But one thing for certain, what it achieves with this minimal design is overall snappy browser behaviour. If you are facing frame drops, lags, hangs, or any issue with your current PC browser and all you care is getting a good working browser, you certainly need to give this a try. It works as advertised and doesn’t disappoint you when it comes to general browser speed.

Download the beta of MxNitro for Windows and try it yourself.
