Maxfactor Lipfinity Long Lasting Lipstick Review & Swatches

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Cast your minds back to 2014 when Max Factor released the two stage Lipfinity product where you applied the stain and then the balm on top. It was all a bit of a faff if I'm honest but now they have released a new Lipfinity product that beats it hands down. It's like putting Muhammad Ali in the Boxing ring against George Clooney. It might look pretty on the outside, but Ali is gon' take Clooney down. Rubbish Analogy? probably...
Maxfactor Lipfinity Long Lasting Lipstick Review & Swatches
I was very lucky to be sent three shades of the new Max Factor Lipfinity Long Lasting Lipstick to try out (as always, I wasn't paid nor was I asked to give a good review and all thoughts and opinions are genuinely my own and all that yeehaw. Check out my Disclaimer at the top of the page if you want to read the nitty boring gritty.) I was sent "So Luxuriant"(a Berry colour), "Evermore Lush"(a pillarbox red) and "Just Deluxe" (a metallic red that looks like Christmas in a lipstick).
Let's start off with packaging. I am a sucker for nice packaging - I love it to look classy but also have an edge to it so the fact that this is a sleek design in Gold with simple black writing on it makes this much more classy than some other drugstore brands.
This applies a lot like a lip balm. In terms of texture it's very similar to the Revlon Lip Butters (which BTW I am still to this day obsessed with - Red Velvet is gorge especially at this time of year!) and feel really smooth and 'comfortable' to wear. I don't really know if that makes any sense, but I always think balm like teztures are more 'comfortable' to wear than stains or matte finish products.

For coverage, this is highly pigmented, there is no 'subtle' about it unless you dab it on rather than slap it on like I do. YOLO and all that.
Is this really long lasting like the name suggests? yeah, kind of! the 'full colour' of the lipstick stays around for a couple of hours, but definitely fades as the day wears on or as you drink or eat. You're left with a subtle coverage but it does look a little bit faded, like you've been kissing George Clooney better after his fight with Muhammad Ali. Poor George...
Anyways, the Lipfinity Long Lasting Lipstick is probably my favorite Max Factor release of all time. I would re-purchase these time & time again and at £8.99 (and a 3 for 2 offer at Boots sometimes!) these are a bargain I just cannot resist. I have my eye on two other shades... Better get finding a third!
Have you tried these out? What did you think?
