I start off with deep cleansing, because as they say...if the bad stuff don't go out then the good stuff can't come in! The Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask contains active charcoal which is a natural detoxifier, and it acts like a magnet to draw out impurities which clog up the pores, coupled with White China clay (otherwise more popularly known as Kaolin) absorbs the free radicals and pollutants, whereas Lecithin dissolves impurities, helps to hydrate skin and boost cell repair.
To use, I first open pores with a warm, moisture towel, before layering on the mask.
For me personally, I applied 2 layers to get a moderately thick coverage. When washed off, it dissolves easily as it touches water; leaving skin feeling fresh. I observed after 3 weeks of use (twice, that I have lesser occurrence of blackheads especially on my nose, and skin looks clarified. I realized as well that pimples breakouts are reduced, which I deduced is thanks to the disciplined routine cleansing with the mask to prevent clogging.
After my face is deeply cleansed, I next use the Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask. I love the lightweight consistency which really locks in the moisture; this gel-based mask works great when you pop it in the fridge first before application. When applied, it becomes abit watery-like and which makes great for slathering onto areas and crevices of the face. Leave it on skin for about 10 minutes, before tissuing off. The mask smells fresh, most likely thanks to the Cucumber ingredient, and I actually believes it helps in depuffing my face, caused by water retention after a particular night out drinking with friends.
The Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask contains the goodness of Avocado and Apricot Kernel Oil to deliver an immediate and highly-packed hydration punch which not only replenishes the hydration lost but also deeply but also stores for future use. Of the 3, this one has the most lovely scent of of sweet apricot. However, while it has a great buttery texture that made it easy to glide and apply , and I found it abit rich so just a small 20c dollop is enough for the whole face. I did like that it left my face feeling supple and a light dewy complexion. I would especially recommend this for people who have dry skin as I find it really locks in moisture. A definite must-bring for my winter trip to France in December!
