Mango Rasgulla

Quick and easy dessert to serve - Mango Rasgulla! Cottage Cheese dumplings cooked slowly in Mango syrup to be served with dryfruits!

After a while, again I am sharing this very easy and stunning recipe of Mango Rasgulla. If you are following my posts regularly, you will know that I was sharing so many sweet/dessert posts that finally I had to put a halt to that and start posting savory/spicy recipes.

Long back, even before I had started to cook,I used to wonder how lovely is making Rasgulla but did not have a faint idea how to go about it nor that I cared , as I had so many other things to worry that time. Since I started to have interest in recipes and food,I started to make my own Rasgulla at home and it is amazing! Check out my recipe of Rasgulla. Please pardon my images in the post,I will be updating the pictures soon.
If you do now want to carry out the whole procedure then you can use store bought Rasgulla tin too.
If you are outside India then Rasgulla is available on amazon and in Indian grocery stores too.
Here I have used the Rasgulla and the sugar syrup that is served along with Rasgulla. So there was no need to use any additional sugar but instead ,consumed the syrup in the recipe itself. One more thing is that if Mango is not in season then use the readymade/storebought Mango Pulp. Sometime the store bought Mango Pulp/Puree is not sweet so accordingly adjust the sugar syrup in the recipe.

This recipe is very easy and under 30 mins recipe ,if you have Rasgulla tin from the store. Also the amazing Mango flavor with Saffron and Pistachio makes the final dish very stunning and interesting.

I have previously shared a lot of sweets/desserts. I am listing a few here for you all to check:

  • I have used the Mango Pulp which was a bit sour than sweet,so I used up 1 Cup of sugar syrup here to make it sweet. If you use fresh mango pulp or sweeter variety then you can adjust the sugar accordingly.
  • When you cook the sugar syrup and pulp, mix once and then start to cook it.
  • Cook this on low flame and let it get thick slightly.
  • Once the rasgulla are added do not stir them as they might break.
  • Cook for about 2 minutes or slightly more till the rasgulla are nicely coated with thick syrup.
