London based psych collective Mandrake Handshake offer a history lesson of sorts on their single King Cnut. About a thousand years ago a Danish king, who ruled both Denmark and what would later become the UK, thought that he control the tides by sheer willpower. He failed miserably and legend has it that he had an epiphany that a king's powers are not unlimited. The band used it as a launchpad for channeling frustation about being locked indoors with only a slim chance that things will get better soon.

King Cnut is released via Tip Top Recordings.
