Greetings, my darling readers ♡I've decided what better way to rev the engines on my blog than to have fun entries & quirky updates! I started my first giveaway yesterday! It's starting off a lot slower than I expected, but I'm sure it'll pick up with time! It's only the next day, and it's my very first giveaway! So, today's entry will be something I hope will continue throughout my entire beauty journey & in the blogosphere ! A MAKEUP LOOK OF THE DAY! I've always enjoyed these fun & informative posts by other bloggers & makeup gurus, and I decided to put my own twist on it! Another type of update I'm willing to do with due time is SPA SATURDAY! More details on that soon. If you have any curious questions about SPA SATURDAY, contact me!
For those of you who follow me on twitter, you might have read my updates about how excited I am for the ''WEDDING FESTIVAL'' held in Arsenal, later this evening. Arsenal is a praised venue here in our town, Zadar, which frequently hosts events, concerts, & exclusive parties. This year is the '5th annual WEDDING FESTIVAL' of Zadar, Croatia! As a wife-to-be, my fiance decided to get us tickets to the event!! How thoughtful :') I'm one lucky 'gal!Participants of the event are mainly engaged in various activities related to organizing a wedding: wedding salons, florists, hairdressers and beauticians, photographers, jewelers, travel agents, confectioners, and others! In addition, there will be a runway bridal fashion show! I'm just foaming at the mouth from how excited I am to go!
So today I decided I'm going to look spiffy & fabulous! I'll be snapping away pictures of everything, and I'll try not to be such a camera whore, tee hee. But before I hurry off to have my fun, I want to share some cool stuff with you guys first!! This will be my first MAKEUP LOOK OF THE DAY blog post, hopefully you'll like it! Make sure to leave some feedback ◕‿◕ !
....
PREPARATIONS!
Well, first off, because I'm half human & half wild mongoose...I need to take off this damn mustache. I know you're probably cringing and going, MUSTACHE!? Yes, unfortunately, most women have to deal with this curse of nature. I include. And I shake my fists in anger to mother nature!! BUT, fortunately, we live in a day & age where taking care of this nuisance is a piece of cake! I did everything from threading, waxing, bleaching. But nothing works better for me then a good 'ol tube filled with hair removal cream!
I USE ČUPKO!
Čupko is a Croatian word, which is a quirky slang way of saying: Pull out! Or, Twitch!
And no matter how painful all of this may sound, trust me, it's NOT! And unlike most hair removal creams that stink to high heaven, this really doesn't have a strong scent at all! It's rather plain.
STEP 1.
These are the steps I need to take before applying ČUPKO, but I'd suggest doing these same exact steps with any other hair removal cream to ensure best results!
FIRST, take a washcloth & run it under some warm water. Start pressing & rubbing the hot washcloth on your upper lip to open up the pores & make it easier for the cream to remove the small hairs.
STEP 2.
Next, it's time to apply the creme! Put a pea sized amount of the creme onto your finger and start patting around the area with most hairs. Mine are mostly on the outer corners of my lips, and in the middle. Rub gently, as much as you need until the cream is smooth & blended. STEP 3. NOW, we wait! You should wait up to 10 minutes for the cream to take full heavy-duty effect, but this is for women with strong skin. Women with sensitive skin, like me, should only wait until 5 minutes! Don't worry, it works just fine! THUMBS UP FOR SMOOTH, HAIRLESS UPPER LIPS. YEAH!~STEP 4. Waited enough? Take a dry piece of cloth or paper towel and begin to remove the cream! Remember, when taking off hair removal cream, you always need to move upwards! Don't pull down, the hairs won't come out as easily & you'll have a few left behind. So, UPWARDS, UPWARDS, UPWARDS! Once you've taken all the cream off, briefly wash with some warm water & pat dry with a towel!See! Nice, soft & HAIRLESS!....
Now, once I was finished with taking care of my fur, it was off to my handy-dandy makeup desk! I have my little light, mirror & makeup bag waiting for me every time! I love my makeup desk!
So today for the Wedding Festival, I decided to keep it simple, but still lovely & full of life! I was wearing one of my favorite V-neck red shirts from NY&COMPANY (love that store!) And knew automatically what kind of makeup to do!
So! DRUM ROLL PLEASE! *rollrollrollroll*
MAKEUP LOOK OF THE DAY IS

.
I decided since I was wearing red, what better look to do than a burnt amber & gold look? These colors blissfully match with red shirts, blouses, dresses & so on. As do some shades of grey, but I decided to go with more color & vibrancy! I know some people are keen on matching, but makeup isn't about matching, it's about complimenting. Red lips with a red shirt would clash too much. If you're not keen on mixing colors, red goes amazingly with bold eyes. Define your eyebrows & some bold mascara will do the trick! POW!!For the curious, the products used for this look are:
♡Primer:Sephora Collections Ultra-Smoothing primer.♡Foundation:L'oreal's True Match foundation in Vanilla Rose.♡Concealer:Essence FORGET IT! 3in1 concealer. ♡Blush: Maybelline's FIT ME blush in 'Light Rose'.♡Highlighter:Yves Saint Laurent Touché Éclat highlighter pen.♡Eyebrowpencil: Catrice Cosmetics Eyebrow Stylist in 020 'Date with Ash-ton'.♡Eye primer:Catrice Cosmetics Prime & Fine.♡Eye shadows:Shimmer Pearl & Burnt Amber in the Maybelline's 'Sunbaked Neutrals'kit. The gold eye shadow is 'Visionary' by the L'oreal HIP HIGH INTENSITY PIGMENTS collection.♡Top Liner: Yves Saint Laurent Easy Liner for Eyes in 1. ♡ Eye liner:Catrice Cosmetics kohl kajal in 040 White.♡Mascara:Top lashes- Maybelline's the Falsies Volum' Express FLARED.Bottom lashes- L'oreal's Clean DefinitionTelescopic....Now off to the WEDDING FESTIVAL!! Stay tuned for part 2!!~
