Have you heard of the Makeup Geek? Marlena, the self proclaimed Makeup Geek and I met for the first time at the iFabbo conference in October. She was super sweet in person, and even gave me some much valued blogging advice. I didn't know it at the time of meeting her, but she also owns a makeup company by the same name! In my goody bag from the event I found a pigment from her brand that I am just now getting around to trying. You guys, it's incredible.I am not one to wear much eyeshadow, or eye anything, however after trying out this pigment (the color is called Liquid Gold) I am considering wearing this everyday. The texture is velvety soft, and has high (ie solid) pigmentation that doesn't require any layering. It goes on very smooth, and as of 4 hours of wear so far, no creasing.
The color is also gorgeous. The camera translates the color pretty well. If I had been the one naming it, I think I would have called it "Peacock Gold", as I can see flashes of green throughout. Either way this has to be hands down the most stunning eyeshadow/pigment I have ever owned. I have a Dior pallet that I payed a staggering amount for, and the color-payoff is nowhere near as stunning as this $6.99 pigment is.
