Make-Up Discovery: Mascara Fan Brushes and False Eyelashes

By Aninafish @aninafish

One of my discoveries at the class was the small fan brush for the application of mascara. It helps to stay hygeinic and they're easier to manipulate to coat the lashes from both sides. Sometimes it's used as a finishing touch to eliminate clumps.

Here's MUD's version:

Squeeze mascara on to your palette (MUD's mascara comes in a squeezable tube) and use the brush to pick up color and brush through the lashes. Or you can use the brush on the mascara wand of the tube—remember not to double dip and to never use the mascara wand of the tube.

MAC has its own version too.

(Tip from my teacher, Kris) But for a great cheaper alternative, check out nail art brushes. Just make sure they're synthetic. (You'll probably find alternative fine line eyeliner brushes too.) I found this small fan brush in Landmark.

Strip lashes are PhP350 and the set of individual lashes are PhP500. They're made from human hair. They're also reusable.

Unbranded cheaper lashes, how much cheaper? PhP27.50.
