Majical Cloudz Announces New Album, Shares Haunting Track ‘Silver Car Crash’ [Stream]

Majical Cloudz debut album Impersonator was easily one of the best, most haunting albums of 2013. With it’s stark intensity, the Montreal duo made a record for the ages. After two years, they’re back with what is sure to be another absolutely fascinating and stunningly beautiful work. The band announced the arrival of the (appropriately) morosely-titled Are You Alone? by sharing the first track off the record, “Sliver Car Crash.” Devon Welsh’s soul-piercing vocals take the center over minimalistic music, but unlike the previous album, there’s a softness in the track that’s almost welcoming. The lyrics marry that new sense of warmth with the emotional intensity we’ve come to expect and admire from the band.
