Mailbox Mondays: The Independence Day Edition

Mailbox Mondays: The Independence Day Edition Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia of To Be Continued.

I hope everyone had a great Independence Day (here in India) weekend. Ours was an action-packed one, but in spite of that I managed to find the time to make a hefty dent in one of these books I received last week.

Mailbox Mondays: The Independence Day Edition

The book I am working through now is A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) by Sarah J. Maas. This book (and the series actually) have been all over the blogosphere, and I have finally succumbed to the hype, and I have to say that I am enjoying this book so far.

The second book I got is The Blue Between Sky and Water by Susan Abulhawa. This book couldn't be more different from ACOTAR. While the first is a retelling of a fairy story (sort of a combination of Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella), the latter is set firmly rooted in reality telling a story of a Palestinian family living in a refugee camp in Gaza.

I received both these books from Bloomsbury Publishing.

Have you read these books? What do you think of them? What books did you receive last week? What are you looking forward to reading?
