Maiden Crown Braid Tutorial

Maiden crown braid tutorialMaiden crown braid tutorialWe're gearing up for our big Midsummer party on Saturday and we have SO much to do. There will be lots of handmade elements sprinkled throughout the garden so we're getting our craft on big time! It's turned into more of an effort than my wedding!
Some of you have expressed interested in learning the braided hair styles that we did for the Flamingo Pop shoot with BHLDN and I thought Midsummer was the perfect time to try them out. Jessie M, who created the styles, graciously provided the tutorials so you can recreate them yourself. Midsummer or not, they are perfect for getting the hair out of your way and looking adorable at the same time.Maiden crown braid tutorialMaiden crown braid tutorial1. Start a reverse braid on the side of your head.
2. Braid down the other side of your head and keep on going around and around.
3. Once you've wrapped around your head, finish off the braid and hold it with a small elastic.
4. Tuck the end of the braid into the braid at the top and secure with bobbi pins.
5. To give it a slightly messy look, gently pull out the braids a bit around the crown.
6. Pull out a couple of strands around the frame of the face to accentuate.
Voila! Happy Midsummer! Now excuse me as I get my craft on...
