Tim Cohen is a busy man. When not involved with the numerous other acts he performs with (most notably The Fresh & Onlys), or operating solo, he’s working on his latest project, Magic Trick (@magictrickband). Magic Trick started out as another of Tim’s solo bedroom side-projects, but has blossomed into the San Francisco four-piece, experimental, psych-rock band it is today. Acoustic guitars, synthesizers, beautiful vocals and harmonies, sleigh bells, washboards, a woodwind section, and electronic drums all contribute to Magic Trick’s signature sound, and while this combination might seem a bit overwhelming, the band artfully weaves everything together to form a lush tapestry of psych-folk-rock.

The group is touring the West Coast later in July with La Sera, following the release of their sophomore LP. Their brand new record, Ruler Of The Night (the follow-up to 2011‘s The Glad Birth Of Love) was released June 12th by Hardly Art Records.
