Ian Stevenson’s “Made in Broken Britain” exhibition opened at the beginning of June at The Outsiders in Newcastle. Exploring the self-conciousness of modern life, the show features canvases, drawings and miniature installations in Ian’s signature style.
Sculptures of ‘aging superheroes’ that can no longer help us, toy Police cars with their wheels stolen and a smashed up riot van feature alongside public signage and celebrity photos with their sheen buffed away. It’s a commentary on what’s happening in this country, right now.
