Mac Demarco Shares First Track from His Debut Album [free Mp3]

Mac Demarco made quite a name for himself at the start of this year.  The 22 year old singer-songwriter bought himself some serious attention with his somewhat puzzling videos — “Only You”, which featured Demarco cross dressing with naked dudes wearing silver triangles on their heads, could have been easily passed off as attention seeking, hipster chic. But if anything they only clarify how interesting Mac’s lo-fi brand of songwriting really is.

Through the progressively growing Brooklyn label Captured Tracks, Demarco is set to further pursue his talents with the release of his debut album, simply entitled 2, this October. That might still be a little while away, but you can get an idea of what to expect with the significantly more mature sounding “My Kind of Woman”.
