Before leaving to Lebanon, Karl & I treated ourselves to a cool movie in a cool theatre – Lucy at the Electric Cinema. And in fact it really is a treat, from the moment you purchase your tickets to the end of the movie, Soho House found a way to make you feel comfortable and cozy – as if you were in your own private home cinema.

Lucy at the Electric Cinema

Going to the cinema in London is outrageously expensive and because of that, I barely go once or three times a year. Going to the Electric makes it more of a proper night out. Once you get into the room, you can order food and drinks at the bar while the trailers and ads are playing. The menu is not so diverse but you have the essentials: burger, nachos, chicken wings, a dip and croutons and some classic desserts such as brownie.

We ordered almost everything on the savoury list as we didn’t have dinner prior the movie – our favourites were definitely the juicy burger and the chicken wings which have a gingery flavour. We also got some nice red wine to accompany us through the film.

The top of the top is at the beginning of the movie, when you’re sipping your drink and enjoying the luxury of watching a movie in this VIP room - mmmmhhh. And if you’re cold during the movie, cachemire covers are provided :D

I would definitely recommend to all cinema lovers who are frustrated by the ticket prices in London to spend a little more on this luxurious movie theatre. Just make a night out of it, with friends or for a date it is definitely the place to go.

Have you already watched a movie in a VIP cinema? Which one? Do you also think that the cinema in London is too expensive? Tell us about your experience in the comments !
