Hi everyone,
Today I’ll be reviewing the June Lust Have It box which arrived yesterday. As it’s already the start of July, this box did arrive late but I’m sure everyone who subscribes or receives any subscription boxes know that they don’t usually arrive on the specified date so that’s not something that bothers me anymore J. Plus, it is a bit exciting to find it delivered when you don’t know when to expect it!
For those of you unfamiliar with Lust Have It, Lust Have It is a monthly beauty subscription box with the inclusion of 5-6 deluxe sized beauty items, priced at only $19.95 a month but if you use the code ‘TRIED’ you can receive $5 off your first box!
This month’s goodies arrived in the new Lust Have It packaging, a Lustre Beauty makeup bag which I love! It’s well made and is perfect for the handbag or for traveling.
Now onto the contents this month:
Teeez Trend Cosmetics ‘Head Over Heels’ Nail Lacquer. RRP: $18 for 7ml. Received FULL SIZE.
I received a few products from this brand that’s new to me from the LHI FaB box and there were 2 items subscribers could’ve received from the brand, an eyeliner (which was included in the FaB box) and a nail polish. I’m happy to have received the nail polish as it meant I didn’t have a double up. I received the shade ‘Petrol Cravings’ which is a navy blue.
John Plunkett Glyco Peel. RRP: $29.99 for 15ml. Received FULL SIZE.
This is an absolutely amazing product and has been something that I return to again and again. I was at first hesitant to try this product because it contains an acid but after giving it a go for the first time months ago, it’s a product I would happily recommend to everyone as its suitable for all skin types and the results after a cycle of use are really evident. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo. RRP: $27.95 for 40ml. Received 3ml sample.
This has to be the most well known product from La Roche Posay. This corrector is said to reduce severe imperfections and unclog blocked pores and can be used all over the face. I did purchase a full size tube of this when it was on sale earlier in the year but I’ve only used it a handful of times so I think I’ll have to go back and begin using it again to see how I like it and if it works!
Orly Nail File & Toe Separators. RRP: $1.65 & $4.95. Received FULL SIZE.
I believe these were previously small GWP’s as there is a sticker stating this. Nail files are always welcome because they’re a product I’m always using in my nail routine. I don’t use toe separators but they’re a useful product to have in your stash. I think these products would’ve worked better if they were included as bonus products as opposed to being a main contents item as they are a bit of an ‘eh’ product.
Nuxe Crème Nirvanesque & Crème Nirvanesque Eye Contour. Received 2ml samples.
Nuxe is a brand I’ve heard highly of but have never tried so although these products are in sachets (and I don’t really like sachets), I will be giving these a go because of the great reputation the brand has. Included is a face cream and the matching eye cream. I would’ve loved a larger sample of these products to be able to really give them a go and see some sort of extended effect.
I’m a bit torn this month. Although there are amazing brands included in this month’s box (or bag as it now is!) , I cant help but feel that its a bit empty and not as exciting as the past few boxes. While I love the John Plunkett’s Glyco Peel and look forward to using the nail polish, the Orly and Nuxe products underwhelm me. The Orly products are definitely a great accompaniment to the nail polish included but not everyone received the nail polish (as the received the eyeliner) and the Nuxe samples are quite small so they’ll be a 2 use, if not, one time use item. Hopefully this is just a slight slump this month and next month’s box will be as exciting as the last few I’ve received!
