Lust Have It – February 2014 – Review

By Triedandtestedblogger @triedtestedblog

Hi everyone,

Today I’ll be reviewing the February Lust Have It box. This month the products came in a plain black postage box, however there was a note from LHI’s CEO Greta, informing us that Lust Have It are currenting working on new packaging to be ready for the April boxes and so this month (Feb) and March’s boxes wont be in the usual boxes. (I used a previous LHI box in the background of this post’s image)

For those of you unfamiliar with Lust Have It, Lust Have It is a monthly beauty subscription box with the inclusion of 5-6 deluxe sized beauty items, priced at only $19.95 a month but if you use the code ‘TRIED’ you can receive $5 off your first box!

The February box included:

DSCN59711

Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Sensitive. RRP: $65 for 60ml. Received 7ml sample.

This product was advertised in the January box, giving us a sneak peek into this box. This green apple peel is said to exfoliate and refine the skin as well as lightening pigmentation, using a spa grade exfoliant. After overcoming my fear of leaving a ‘peel’ on my face overnight through using the John Plunkett Glyco Peel, I look forward to using this and seeing how it compares.

The Cosmetic Kitchen Eyeshadow in Cumin. RRP: $22.50 for 2g. Received FULL SIZE.

My favorite eyeshadows shades have to be neutral and metal shades and so im really happy to have received the shade Cumin which is a beautiful rich goldy cumin shade. Although I’m not a fan of loose shadows as I find them a bit messy to use, this mineral eyeshadow shade is too pretty to pass up!

The Cosmetic Kitchen Brush. RRP: $22.50. Received FULL SIZE.

From the same brand as the mineral eye shadow, I received a powder/cheek brush from the original range. The brush itself is really soft and after using it for a week, I really like it! It applies powder well and there hasn’t been any shedding. The brushes are certified vegan and cruelty free as well.

Vaseline Ultimate 10 Anti Aging Body Lotion. RRP: $16.29 for 750ml. Received 25ml sample.

I’ve been taking a more active approach toward using body lotions and moisturisers as while I was away on holiday last month, the cold winter weather made moistursing a must and so I’ve gotten into the groove of moistursing every night, Vaseline is such a well known brand and I’ve really enjoyed other lotions I’ve tried from the brand.

Clairol Professional Color Radiance Shampoo. RRP: $13.95 for 250ml. Received 50ml sample.

There were 2 Clairol products included in the box this month, one being this color shampoo. Because I don’t have dyed hair, I’ll be passing this onto my mom to use. I do like the amount that was given as this 50ml bottle allows quite a bit of use and is perfect for traveling.

Clairol Professional Expand Volume Mousse. RRP: $19.50 for 250ml. Received 50ml sample.

This mousse is said to deliver fullness and body from the roots for a huge 24 hours while also acting as a heat protectant. I’ve never really used a mousse in my hair when styling so I look forward to seeing how this performs and whether or not it delivers on the 24 hour claim.

Hand Spa Bijoux Hand Wipe. RRP: $1.50. Received FULL SIZE.

Unlike a standard hand wipe which is used to clean the hands, this Hand Spa Bijoux Hand Wipe contains hyaluronic acid, royal jelly, glycerine and soy bean extract to deeply nourish and moisturise the hands. I definitely think this wipe has to be saved for a pamper session.

I was quite impressed with this months Lust Have It Box, I think it was a great mix of skincare, cosmeitcs and haircare as well as having a beauty tool included! The products were all quite good in size which will allow a good amount of uses to really see if a product performs or not. I also like the introduction to new brands that I havent tried or heard of before – Juice Beauty, Hand Spa Bijoux  and The Cosmetic Kitchen which are brands that havent been included in other boxes so its always exciting to try something new.
